How I Do It?

So I just got a question from Anonymous,
asking how I do my make-up.
I'm quite surprised actually,
because I ain't exactly the most skilled person in this field..

But I'll see what I can do!
Here goes!

I just use BB cream for my foundation,
over that I use the
Guerlain Meteorites Perles in 02 Tient Beige

Guerlain is made in France and the mix of colours really brings out your features!
As you can see,
the packaging is also very attractive.
 (So is the price!)
But since mom got it for me, I had no complains ;)

Okay,
now with the lips.

Personally, I really like the lipgloss for my everyday college look.

For this I use
The Body Shop: Hi-Shine Lip Treatment in Coral Spice

I love this shade because it gives my lips a really nice pink.
I don't like going for the transparent ones because my lips aren't naturally rosy,
In fact, I think they're quite pale.

Lately, I've also purchased the Honey Bronze.

This one comes with a more nude tone :)

I buy my lipgloss from The Body Shop because:
1) It's available here in India (Thank God)
2) It's very much affordable.
3) Their lipgloss has a really nice fragrance!
It's like wearing lip perfume.

The only downside 'bout Body Shop is that not every shade is pretty. But luckily for me, I found what works best on me :)

However,
if I were to go out on a date, a girly day out, or even a fancy  dinner,
I'd opt for my MAC lipstick.

I absolutely love MAC's collection.
Particularly, the bubblegum pink ones.
But because I'm rather tan, that kind of pink makes me look quite awkward.
So I have my lipsticks in brighter pinks.
Actually, I'm thinking of investing on a bright red one ;)

Coming to my eyeliner,
I'm now using
  Lancome Le Crayon Khol
It's quite costly, but when it comes to eye products, I'm quite the fussy pot.
You gotta make sure you use good ones so that you don't ruin your eyes :)
Lancome has good eyeliners,
it goes on smoothly and for me, I love it really dark, and Lancome does just that!
I only use this one on my lower lash line,
smudging it as I go giving me the bigger-eyes effect :D

I also love winged eyeliners for the top..
So for that I use
Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Liner in Black

However, I don't usually do this look much because it gives me a very piercing, edgy and bold look.
& I'm more inclined to the softer look!

Paired with my winged liner,
I might sometimes use
Maybelline Eyestudio Vivid & Smooth Colour Liners

Absolutely love these because they come in all the prettiest shades to match my outfit!
(Very affordable too)
I use the white eyeliner on my lower waterline to open up my eyes.
Yes, I do emphasize alot on my eyes.

I was told that brown eyeliners are more natural,
so now I'm on a quest for a good one!

You're probably wondering what mascara I use..
I have naturally long eyelashes and I do like to give it volume.
But I really don't like the conventional ones because they somehow make your lashes all clumpy.
So lately, I've been using
The Body Shop: Brow and Lash Gel in Clear

Yes!
This mascara is totally transparent and yes, it does lengthen my eyelashes nicely without any clumps!
I was so thrilled when I found this!
You can also use this to give more shape to your eyebrows,
which is a great plus point for me!

And my absolute favourite
Naked 2 by Urban Decay!

I only use this on special occasions though,
because it has costed me more than a bomb.
Got this from Sephora some time ago,
and it gives the natural, nude look..
which I totally love.

And I think that's about it!
These are pretty much the products I use.
But nonetheless, I think it's achieved the looks I wanted.
I'm still trying on new looks like the Red lipstick and also, maybe falsies!
I don't believe in inches of make up,
just a touch of it to make you stand out is what I aim for.
and most importantly,
what's inside that makes you beautiful :)

Time to go shopping at Sephora!

The Change

I'm sure most of us have read the article that's been goin' around Facebook,
you know,
the one about Dr Richard Teo.

If you have no clue 'bout what I just mentioned,
then I guess you should really pay more attention to Facebook.
ahaha

Anyways,
I guess the article is mainly about life and changes.

So what I'm trying to say is:

People change based on 2 reasons:
They've learned alot
OR
They've been hurt too much

As life continues, and as you grow older,
change is inevitable.

I, as for one, have changed over the years.
Maybe you don't see it.
But I personally feel like I've become somewhat... different.
No?

Not too long back,
I used to be a girl who doesn't really give two hoots about her appearance.
I didn't really care about how my hair looks and I'd wear whatever.

Now,
I started investing on mascaras and eyeliners.
Even, lipgloss.
I just can't go anywhere without at least my eyeliner on.
Coz I just feel insecure without it, you know?
I did my eyebrows
&
I cut my hair and started learning how to curl it however I like.
You could say that I've also changed my way of dressing.
To put it in a nutshell,
I've become self-concious.

But to me,
that change isn't entirely bad coz I've come to realise that appearance is really important.
I hate to say this,
but people will always judge you based on your outlooks.
First impression, I'd say, plays a big role.

My point here is:
It's okay to change.
As long it's a good change.
Just don't lose yourself along the way.
You learn from the past and from those who have hurt you.

Hurt changes people they say.
Well, it depends on how you channel that hurt to become a good change :)

In life, people should change.
We're meant to evolve.

So if things don't seem to be going the way you want it to be,
if you realised that you're unhappy.
Then,
It's time to bring about change :)

Have you changed?

My dreams!

Hi guys,
how ya'll doin'?? :)

So I've been thinking about something lately,
and I thought maybe I'd share it with you guys..
It's something I feel very passionate about right now
But I ain't got no idea how I'm gonna make it.
haha

so here goes.

Among so many of my dreams,
Being a dentist for one..
And wanting to own a Charlie Tango,
& someday own a nice fancy car(s)..
And a nice yacht..
and opening Canine Harem..
Above all that luxuries,
I've always wanted a foundation of my own.
Like,
a Non-profit foundation.
Fighting for certain causes and raising awareness stuff like that..

So you're probably thinking,
what cause? Awareness for?

I know you think I wanted to open up my own version of SPCA,
or doing recycling campaigns,
or going on riots against Lynas and stuff..
but no.

I want the public to be aware about
Dental Health and Oral Hygiene.

Everyone's s busy raising awareness fot the environment and it's habitat,
which truly inspired me.

But these people are so busy putting their time into the environment and stuff,
but have we forgotten that we're part of the habitat too?
:)

I can't stress any more on how much dental health and oral hygiene effects our life.

The mouth is like the MAJOR gateway into our body,
and if we don't keep it healthy and what not,
it's going to cause diseases.

Bad oral hygiene,
doesn't just give you caries and bad breath (ew!)..
it may also cause periodontal disease, lung diseases, cardiac problems, pregnancy complications,
Cancer etc etc etc...
But despite all this,
no one seem to pay attention to it.

It really bugs me, coz personally I'm very particular about dental hygiene.
I have a sick obsession on having to brush my teeth 3x a day,
and I can't take it when people have food stuck in their teeth.
I guess you can say,
my future boyfriend/husband should have good dentition and oral health.
hahaha.

Okay, back to my dream foundation.
So yeah,
my foundation would be fighting for the stated cause.
&
I have an idea of  (hopefully) someday gather a group of volunteers and dentists,
to give free or at least minimal treatment to the people in ulu places..
or have demo on correct brushing techniques, give free toothbrush and toothpaste hehe
It isn't much, but I guess we can always start there?
I don't know, haven't quite figured it out.

haha anyways...

Guys,
I don't know how I'm gonna make this happen.
I'm not doing this for my own profit, to be famous or something,
but because I really feel like.. I want to haha
& hopefully with Buddha's grace and blessings and what not,
it happens sometime in future hee.

but for now,
please do me a favour..
PLEASE take care of your oral hygiene.
Please brush your teeth at least twice a day (preferably after each meal).
And do use mouth wash (Listerine).
FLOSS FLOSS FLOSS.
Omg, I thank my dad for teaching me this since I was a kid.
FLOSSING is SO important.
Don't be lazy!
Do visit your dentist for regular check-ups,
or at least get some scaling done every 6 months.
(im hinting you to start making appointments with me HAHA)

because if you don't do so,
you'll start getting caries and all this shitty mouth diseases.
and if your caries get so bad,
you're gonna need to do a RCT (root canal treatment) which would cost you more than RM2000.
I don't know how much it's gonna cost you in future.
and don't say "Nvm lah, Sam will give discount!"
Guys,
it's not that I don't want to,
but you need to see an Endodontist to get a RCT done.
And unless I speacialise into Endodontics..
I ain't gonna be doing RCTs.
haha

Anyhoo,
it's still a long way before I graduate haha
but,
just saying.

On a reaaaaal bright note,
someone called me DR today!
:'D

Chaos!
